Inside Simon's Jewelers: A Fresh Look at the Newly Renovated Clayton Store
July 23, 2026

A Storefront Worth Showing Off
Simon's Jewelers just finished a renovation of their Clayton location, and the results are the kind of space that deserves more than a quick phone snap. The Simon's team brought us in to overhaul their photo and video content from top to bottom, and spending an afternoon in that store reminded me why I love shooting retail spaces. Good architecture and good lighting design do half the work. My job is just to catch it right.
Capturing the Full Space
We started wide, photographing the entire storefront to give people a real sense of what walking into the new Simon's feels like. Clayton has no shortage of upscale retail, but this space stands on its own. The renovation clearly wasn't a surface-level refresh. Every corner of the store was built with intention, and our job was to document that intention accurately.
From there we moved into individual vignettes for each of the brands featured inside the store. Jewelry retail is unique in that every case, every display, and every brand partner has its own visual language. A Rolex display doesn't photograph like a case of estate pieces, and neither should be treated the same way behind the camera. We worked section by section to make sure each brand's presentation felt distinct and true to what a customer sees in person.
The New Rolex Display and Private Spaces
One of the highlights of the renovation is the expanded Rolex display, and it was a priority to give it the coverage it deserves. We also photographed the private spaces built for the store's featured brand, the kind of areas that don't get seen by every customer walking through the door but absolutely deserve to be seen in marketing and content. Those private spaces say a lot about the level of service Simon's is offering, and photos needed to communicate that without a customer ever stepping inside them.
Bringing the Space to Life on Video
Photos tell part of the story, but we also shot cinematic video throughout the store to showcase the various spaces around this gorgeous Clayton jeweler. Video does something stills can't. It lets you move through a space the way a customer actually would, case to case, room to room. For a store this well designed, that kind of movement matters. You can watch the full film above.
Why This Kind of Content Matters
A renovation like this is an investment, and the content representing it should match that investment. Simon's didn't just update fixtures and lighting, they built an experience. Photos and video that undersell that experience do the space a disservice, and that's exactly the gap we were brought in to close.
Working in Clayton for a project like this was a natural fit. It's a community that values craftsmanship and detail, and Simon's new location fits right into that standard. If you're a business owner in the area thinking about how your storefront or renovated space reads online or in print, this is the kind of project that shows what's possible when photography and video work together instead of as an afterthought.
