The origin
It started in a newsroom, on deadline.
I learned to make pictures inside the newsroom at KMOV-TV, the St. Louis CBS affiliate. Live television is unforgiving. The light is whatever the room gives you, the subject is not waiting, and the segment airs whether the shot is perfect or not. You learn to read a moment fast, stay calm, and get it right the first time, because there is no second take on the air.
That training is the whole difference. When I walk onto a set now, whether it is a nervous executive in front of a backdrop, a chef mid-service, or an award show filling a theater, I am running the same instinct I built on deadline. Watch the room, direct with intent, and protect the take. Nobody on the other side of my camera should have to worry about whether we got it.
Since then I have built that newsroom discipline into a studio. The work spans commercial campaigns, brand and product photography, headshots, personal branding, and broadcast-quality video, alongside luxury weddings and events. Different rooms, same standard. Show up prepared, shoot to a plan, and hand back imagery that is ready to work the moment it lands.
Why brands trust the work
A standard you can point to.
Four things separate a studio you hand the reins to from a vendor you have to manage.
- 01Broadcast-trainedYears on camera in the KMOV-TV (CBS) newsroom built the instinct to get the shot the first time. On live television there is no second take, and that discipline travels to every commission.
- 02Magazine-standard retouchingEvery selected frame is finished bright, clean, and true to life. Never dark and moody, never overcooked. The goal is imagery that still looks right in five years.
- 03Full-service photo and videoStills and motion from one team, often on the same day. Headshots, brand campaigns, product, personal branding, and broadcast-quality video, without juggling three vendors.
- 04Fast, organized deliveryClear expectations up front and a process that respects your calendar. For live events, real-time AI delivery gets photos to attendees while the room is still full.

The studio
A media department, not a one-off hire.
Most brands stitch their visuals together from a headshot here, a video crew there, and a cousin with a camera for the rest. The result looks stitched together. We replace that with one team that knows your brand, plans the work, and delivers a library that holds together everywhere it shows up.
How we work
01
Plan the shoot
We start with what the work has to do, the campaign, the directory, the keynote, the launch, and build the shoot list around it before anyone picks up a camera.
02
Produce the day
Lighting, direction, and pacing handled end to end. You get a calm set that keeps moving, whether it is one founder or a full corporate team.
03
Deliver the library
Edited, organized, and ready to use across web, print, social, and press, so the assets are working for you the moment you get your deliverables.
If you have been managing a patchwork of freelancers, this is the part that changes. One plan, one team, one consistent look.
