Twilight Photography for a Luxury Oasis Pools Backyard in St. Charles
August 17, 2026

A Backyard Built Like a Resort
Oasis Pools, a luxury pool designer based here in the St. Louis Metro area, brought us in to document one of their recent completed builds. The property sits in St. Charles, Missouri, and calling it a backyard almost undersells what Oasis created there.
This wasn't just a pool install. Oasis designed the entire outdoor living space from the ground up. There's a lazy river winding through the yard, a golf putting green for practicing a short game at home, a pickleball court, and outdoor living areas built for entertaining. It's the kind of project that shows what's possible when a design team gets to build a full vision instead of a single feature.
Why Twilight Photography Matters for Projects Like This
We shot this property at twilight, and for a build like this, that timing isn't optional. Pool lighting, landscape lighting, and water features all come alive once the sun starts to set. A daytime shoot would have missed the glow of the water, the way the lighting highlights the stonework, and the ambiance that makes a space like this feel like a true retreat.
Twilight photography takes more planning than a standard shoot. We work around the exact window when there's still enough ambient light in the sky to balance against the property's lighting, which usually gives us a narrow stretch of time to get everything right. For a project with this many features, from the lazy river to the putting green to the pickleball court, we wanted every element to get its moment.
Cinematic Video to Match the Design
Alongside the photography, we produced high end cinematic video of the completed space for Oasis Pools to use across their social channels and website. Video does something photography alone can't. It lets you follow the flow of the lazy river, take in the scale of the yard, and get a real sense of movement through a space that was designed for exactly that kind of use.
For a company like Oasis, whose work is all about transforming outdoor spaces into something extraordinary, having both photo and video assets gives them flexibility. Twilight stills work well for portfolio pages and print materials, while the cinematic footage is built for the fast scroll of social media, where motion catches attention in a way a static image sometimes can't.
Documenting Craftsmanship for the Companies Behind It
Projects like this Oasis Pools build represent serious craftsmanship, and that kind of work deserves imagery that matches it. When a design and construction company puts this much thought into a project, from the pool itself to the surrounding hardscape to features like a golf green and pickleball court, the photography and video need to reflect that same level of care.
We've worked with contractors, builders, and design firms across the St. Louis area who understand that strong visual content isn't an afterthought. It's part of how they win future clients, showcase their range, and build a portfolio that actually represents the quality of their work. A finished backyard like this one won't look the same in two years once the landscaping matures and the space gets lived in, so capturing it at completion, at the right time of day, with the right approach, matters.
Working in St. Charles and Across the Metro
We photograph projects throughout the St. Louis region, and this Oasis Pools build in St. Charles is a good example of the kind of large scale residential and commercial work we love getting called in for. Whether it's a full backyard transformation, a new construction build, or a commercial space ready for its debut, we bring the same level of planning and attention to every shoot.
