Behind the Lens: A Luxury Pool Build in Huntleigh with Oasis Pools
August 20, 2026

A Backyard Built to Impress
Oasis Pools brought us in to document one of their recent luxury builds in Huntleigh, a neighborhood known for grand homes and even grander backyards. This project was no exception. Oasis handled the entire backyard transformation, the pool itself, the outdoor living spaces, and a fully built outdoor kitchen designed for entertaining.
Our job was simple on paper and demanding in practice: show off the craftsmanship in a way that matches the quality of the build.
Why Twilight Photography
For a project like this, daytime photos only tell half the story. We scheduled a twilight shoot to capture the pool, lighting, and outdoor living areas as they're meant to be experienced, in the evening, with the water glowing and the landscape lighting doing its job.
Twilight photography is one of the best tools for luxury outdoor spaces. It shows depth, ambiance, and the kind of detail that gets lost in flat midday light. For a company like Oasis, whose work depends on both function and atmosphere, this approach lets the design speak for itself.
Cinematic Video for a Different Kind of Portfolio
Along with stills, we produced a high end cinematic video of the property for Oasis to use across social media and their website. Video adds a dimension that photos can't always reach, movement through the space, the sound of water, the transition from pool to kitchen to seating area.
For a contractor whose reputation rests on the full backyard experience, not just the pool itself, video helps potential clients understand the scale and flow of what Oasis actually builds.
Working with Contractors and Builders
Projects like this one are a good reminder of what contracting and architectural photography is really for. It's not just about pretty pictures. It's marketing material that has to hold up against the competition, sell a vision, and represent months of skilled labor accurately.
When we work with builders and designers like Oasis Pools, we're thinking about how the final images and video will be used, on a website, in a portfolio, across social platforms, in proposals to future clients. That means lighting, composition, and timing all have to serve a purpose beyond just looking nice.
The Huntleigh Property Itself
The home sits on a property that gave Oasis plenty of room to work with, and they used it well. The pool design integrates smoothly with the surrounding landscape and the outdoor living spaces feel like a natural extension of the home rather than an afterthought. It's the kind of project that shows what's possible when a design team has both the vision and the budget to execute fully.
Capturing it meant paying attention to how each element, the pool, the kitchen, the seating areas, related to one another, not just documenting them individually.
More Than Just a Pool
What stood out most about this project was the completeness of it. Oasis didn't just install a pool and call it done. They designed an entire outdoor living experience, and that gave us plenty to work with from a visual storytelling standpoint. Every angle offered something different, whether it was the reflection of the house in the water at dusk or the layout of the outdoor kitchen against the landscaping.
